DMCA & Copyright Policy

VibeLedger respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for responding to claims of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA").
Important Note About VibeLedger
VibeLedger is a music project management and metadata organization tool. We do NOT:
- Host or stream music files
- Distribute copyrighted audio content
- Generate music (we only help organize metadata for music created on other platforms)
- Store audio files on our servers
Users manage metadata (titles, lyrics, style prompts) and links to external platforms like Suno.com. Nevertheless, we take copyright concerns seriously and have established this policy.
1. Copyright Complaints
If you believe that content on VibeLedger infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our Designated Agent. Your notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works).
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., URL, user account, specific content description).
- Your contact information: Name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Designated DMCA Agent

3. Our Response to Valid Notices
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:
- Acknowledge receipt of your notice within 2 business days
- Review the complaint and investigate the allegedly infringing material
- Remove or disable access to the material if appropriate
- Notify the user who posted the material of the takedown
- Provide the user with information about filing a counter-notice if they believe the takedown was in error
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice containing:
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or California if outside the US)
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the complainant
- Your physical or electronic signature

5. Repeat Infringers
VibeLedger will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. We define a repeat infringer as any user who has received two (2) or more valid DMCA takedown notices.
6. Misrepresentation Warning
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including attorney's fees. Please ensure your DMCA notice is accurate before submission.
7. User-Generated Content
Users are solely responsible for the content they create, upload, or manage through VibeLedger. This includes:
- Lyrics and text content
- Style prompts and metadata
- Links to external platforms
- Album and track information
By using VibeLedger, you represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all content you manage through our platform.
